These constituencies are territorial areas from which representatives are elected to legislative bodies. Simple Meaning: It is the process of dividing a country or state into election areas (constituencies) . Example Suppose a state has 1 crore population . It may be divided into 20 constituencies . Each constituency elects one representative to the Assembly or Parliament. The process of drawing these boundaries is called delimitation .
